Mending Wounds and Playing Games

This Saturday morning has been slow, and that is a good thing. After 2 lovelily hectic weeks, the first of this year, and much fatigue, the weekend has arrived and we have decided to spend the greater part of this morning doing much of one thing… nothing.

This is our second winter together and it is much more different from the first. Whereas last year we had a very grim picture regarding the next 6 months of our life, this time around we have a lot of hope going into our future. On a more immediate note, however, we are just tired of the week. There was a little bit of work to be done from us both for the weekend, and while I decided to leave it for Sunday afternoon, my partner decided to work on it first thing in the morning.

Me? My plans were slightly different as I continued to tackle Shadow of Mordor on PlayStation®4. After 4 years in the gaming industry I finally find myself able to play games in a regular basis: I have always been a gamer and I will probably always be, though for a long time I was unable to play any game other than StarCraft 2 after work hours. I guess being in contact with videogames for 8 to 16 hours a day can have that effect on people.

The later part of our evening was just eating, relaxing, and playing Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in multiplayer. Not much happening on this day except letting our bodies rest from the usual commuting exercise we do on a daily basis.

…or so we thought. This evening we will be having our first share of snowboarding/skiing for this season, and that is bound to make a change in our pace for the next 3 months or so.

Is there snow near you? Hit the slopes! Enjoy some fresh powder and have a good time.
